Alexander Camaro vollendete das Gemälde „Sommer der Najade“ durch den Halbjahreswechsel zwischen Berlin und Sylt innerhalb eines größeren Zeitraums. Die Entstehung des Gemäldes ist in Sequenzen des Kurzfilms Sommer der Najade (von 1972-73) festgehalten. Dort halten sich Renata und Alexander Camaro in ihrem Atelier in Sylt auf. Es zeigt ihr symbiotisches Miteinander: Renata rührt die Farben an und Alexander arbeitet am Werk. Am Ende des Kurzfilms stehen sie vor dem noch unvollendetem Gemälde. Alexander Camaro überlegt, es „Sommer der Sirene“ zu betiteln und Renata antwortet, dass sie „Sommer der Najade“ besser findet.

Alexander Camaro completed the painting „Summer of Najade“ by the half-yearly change between Berlin and Sylt within a longer period. The creation of the artwork is partly recorded in the short film „Summer of Najade“ (from 1972-73): Alexander and Renata Camaro working in their studio in Sylt. There, the symbiotic working process is shown. While Renata stirring the colours, Alexander working on the painting. At the end of the short film both stand in front of the still unfinished painting and think about the title. Alexander suggests calling the painting „Summer of Siren“ and Renata replies that she prefers „Summer of Najade“.

Unser #weeklycamaro „gefiederte Schlange“ steht exemplarisch für eine Reihe von Arbeiten mit dem Schwerpunkt östliche Mystik in Natur und Landschaft. Besonders in den Jahren zwischen 1958 bis 1970 beinhalten zahlreiche Werke Camaros die Themen Musik, Mythos und Magie. In dieser Zeit entstand auch „östliche Welt“.
Beide Werke flankieren in der derzeitigen Ausstellung „Ein Verhältnis mit Kunst“ – Alexander und Renata Camaro. Katalyse, Symbiose, Muse? das Werk „Radiographie, Dein Bild“ von Renata Camaro. Die bildnerische Zusammenführung verdeutlicht den regen künstlerischen Austausch des Künstlerpaares. „Es verband sie eine Geistesverwandtschaft, die zu einer erfüllten künstlerischen Symbiose von großer Seltenheit führte.“ (Paula Anke 2022)

Our #weeklycamaro #25 „feathered snake“ exemplifies a series of works with the focus on Eastern mysticism in nature and landscape. Especially in the years between 1958 and 1970, many of Camaro´s works included music, myth and magic. In this period, Camaro also painted „Eastern World“.
Both works flank the painting „Radiography, your painting“ by Renata Camaro in the current exhibition „A relationship with art“ – Alexander and Renata Camaro. Catalysis, symbiosis, muse?. The arrangement of the shown paintings illustrates the artistic exchange between the artist couple. „They were united by a kinship of mind that led to a fulfilled artistic symbiosis of great rarity.“ (Paula Anke, 2022)
