„Gerti mit roter Bluse“ entstand Anfang der 1920er-Jahre. Die frühere Lebensgefährtin von Camaro stand häufig Modell und wurde in dieser Zeit ein beliebtes Motiv in seinen Bildern.
Camaro suchte im Anschluss an die Erfahrungen des Zirkuslebens nach einem Austausch. Der Wunsch des symbiotischen Lebens und Arbeitens erfüllte sich erstmals mit Gerti Koper. Gemeinsam gründeten sie die „Malschule Gerti Koper und Alexander Kamaroff“.

Alexander Camaro painted “Gerti with red blouse” in the early 1920s. In that time, Gerti, the former lover of Alexander Camaro, often became motif in Camaro’s paintings.
Camaro was looking for an exchange after the experiences of the circus life. The desire for symbiotic life and working was fulfilled for the first time with Gerti Koper. Together they founded the “Gerti Koper and Alexander Kamaroff painting school.”
