In „Luftschaukel“ setzt sich Alexander Camaro mit der Darstellung von Bewegung auseinander. Mädchen schwingen mit Leichtigkeit auf zwei Luftschaukeln hin und her. Der Eindruck von Geschwindigkeit und Bewegung entsteht durch angedeutet wehende Haare und leicht flatternde Gewänder der Figuren sowie durch den schnellen und zugleich präzisen Pinselduktus des Künstlers.

Alexander Camaro griff das Motiv der Luftschaukel in seiner intensiven Schaffensperiode nach Kriegsende 1946, sowie in seinem Spätwerke ab 1980 wiederholt auf. Die malerische Herausforderung in der Darstellung von Bewegung und  persönliche Erinnerungen aus dem Lunapark Camaros vereinen sich in den „Luftschaukel“-Kunstwerken.
Sowohl „Luftschaukel“ von 1946 als auch von 1986 sind aktuell in der Ausstellung „Alexander Camaro zum 120. Geburtstag“ in der Camaro Stiftung zu sehen.

„Air swing“, our #weeklycamaro #10, content the motif of movement. With ease girls swing forth and back on two swings. The impression of speed and movement from the figures with their slightly blowing hair and fluttering robes are clarified by the artist’s fast and at the same time precise brushwork.
Camaro repeadetly took up the motif of the air swing in his intensive creative period after the end oft he war in 1946, as well as in his late works from 1980 onwards. Both the painterly challenge of depicting movement and personal memories from the Lunapark are combined in Alexander Camaro’s various „air swing“- artworks.

Both,  „air swing“ from 1946 and 1986, are currently seen in the exhibition „Alexander Camaro on his 120th birthday“ in the Camaro House.
